Singur fence posts set on fire

Farmers opposed to land acquition in Singur set fire to 10 fence post at the Tata car plant site this morning.Around 5.30am a group of villagers wrapped jute bags soaked in kerosene around the wooden posts and set them on fire atBeraberi,about 50km from calcutta. police arrived about half an hour later and doused flames.
An hour later, agroup of women came to the site and set fire to the posts again.The police gave a chase but could not catch any body. Apolice team later raided two clubs in adjoining Bajemelia in search of the culpritsbut did not arrest anyone.
This is the third time that villagers have set fire to the fence posts since Januury 21 when the Tata motors authorities
ties performed bhoomi puja.
In calcutta, Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee reviewed the situation with chief secratary Amit kiran Dev
and industries secratary Sabyasachi Sen.and others officer.
